Worship

Right now, we are having hybrid worship, with people joining us in the Sanctuary and on Zoom. Thanks to the gift of technology, we are able to be together and even hear each others voices. We have Sunday School classes at 9:15 am, Virtual Mugs and Hugs at 10:00 am, and we start worship at around 10:15 am. Due to the Pandemic, we are asking folks who join us in the Sanctuary to leave after worship and not linger. We are also asking folks to wear masks and pay attention to the signs in the sanctuary reminding us to keep safe distance. We have prepackaged communion elements and hand sanitizer at the back of the Sanctuary, as well as extra masks and a place to leave your offering. It isn’t the same as it used to be, but we show our love for each other by keeping each other safe.

Worship is at the heart of our life together as a community here at Blakemore. Each week we gather to thank God for the many gifts we have received and to ask for the strength and guidance to face the week ahead. Through music, prayer, the reading of the ancient witnesses from Scripture and retelling our stories in the light of God’s story we hope to become the people God created us to be. We share in Holy Communion each week, and everyone – regardless of church affiliation – is welcome to worship and participate fully with us. People of all ages, nations, races, and lifestyles are part of God’s family and are invited to join us as we seek to serve God and our neighbors. We invite you to accompany us on this adventure of faith.
