Outreach and Missions

Blakemore’s outreach ministries are evidence of our individual and communal commitment to servanthood beyond the walls of our church.

Our TEAM Outreach goals will continue to be:
– To develop a menu of outreach and mission project opportunities for our Blakemore congregation.
– To encourage each Blakemore member to commit their personal resources (time, talents, etc.) to at least one outreach ministry during the year.
– To publicize and promote missional giving opportunities.
– To lovingly hold the Blakemore congregation accountable for their commitment to servanthood beyond the church walls.

Current Serving Projects:

The Nearly New Store

Housing Trust

West Nashville Food Outreach Ministry Partnership

Safe Haven Family Shelter

Room in the Inn (Campus for Human Development)

Uganda Mission – Raise the Roof!

Project Transformation Tennessee

Other opportunities for personal engagement in outreach ministries may be found on one of the room dividers (“holy rollers”) in Fellowship Hall.

Our hope is that every member of Blakemore Church will be intentional about their involvement in outreach ministry for now … and for the rest of our lives.  That we will be a caring church, not just for each other but also for those we do not know.  Reaching out and touching someone is more than an advertising slogan.  It can be a way of living by which we can fulfill our charge to “Offer them Christ.”
